Special Section

The Showcase includes a special section for the Chinese New Year Films which were exclusively made to have a good time for the audience during the New Year's holiday, such as Feng Xiaogang's Big Shot's Funeral (2001), and from the director of Hero and House of Flying Daggers, Zhang Yimou's Happy Times (2000).

Also in this section, the Showcase features few talented, and emerging director's works from Taiwan, Hong Kong, such as Hung Hung's Human Comedy, Yin-Jung Chen's Formula 17 and Edmond Pang's Men Suddenly in Black and You Shoot, I Shoot.
